CALGARY-  All weather warnings for southern Alberta were dropped Monday night.

Earlier, Alberta Emergency Alert issued tornado warnings for Wheatland county and Newell county east of Calgary.

Viewers tell Global News they spotted a funnel cloud near Hussar and a mesocyclone near Duchess.

Heavy rain fell in the area, but there are no reports of any tornados touching down.

A severe thunderstorm was being tracked 20 kilometres south of Standard, east of Strathmore.

Environment Canada warned it had potential to produce very large hail and possibly a tornado.

Pea and marble sized hail fell in the area.

There are no reports of major damage.

In Lethbridge, heavy rain left streets flooded after a severe thunderstorm warning was issued for the city.

More rain is expected for Calgary and surrounding areas this week.
