On this edition of Top Story: A Victoria teen died after he was run over by a car during The Ride to Conquer Cancer on Sunday. The 16-year-old cyclist was a Grade 10 student at Pacific Christian School in Victoria. Richard Campbell, president of the BC Cycling Coalition joins host Michael Eckford to talk cycling safety.

The Vancouver Police Department says people have turned in nearly 40 firearms in the first 17 days of the month-long B.C. gun amnesty program. The program allows British Columbians to voluntarily surrender illegal or unwanted weapons and ammunition without risk of weapons-related charges. VPD Staff Sergeant Martin Bruce joins Top Story to talk about the progress of the program. For an opposing view, Dr. Gary Mauser, chair of the BCWF Firearms Committee joins us to discuss the drawbacks of the B.C. Gun Amnesty program.
