The manager of an Abbotsford Canadian Tire is being hailed a hero after his quick thinking saved a homeless man from a fire.
Just before nine last night, James Cunningham noticed a tree behind the store starting to burn.

Turns out a homeless man had been living there in a structure when his mattress caught fire from what firefighters suspect was careless smoking.
The store manager rushed to put out the flames and pull the man to safety.
Fire crews say the homeless man was lucky to escape with only a trip to the drunk tank thanks to the actions of the Canadian Tire employee.
