Although the official name, it will not be the permanent name and naming options will be further reviewed at a later date.

The possibility of holding a contest involving public input into the permanent name was passed on to administration.

Council also approved a $4-million contract to CIMA+ for engineering and technical guidance for the north commuter bridge.

The six-lane arterial bridge will link the Marquis Industrial area with University Heights.
