Renew your varsity view residential parking permit by Aug 31

TIME TO RENEW YOUR VARSITY VIEW RESIDENTIAL PARKING PERMIT

The City of Saskatoon is reminding the residents of Varsity View that their present Residential Parking Permit will expire on August 31, 2010. To avoid getting a ticket for parking longer than the signs allow, residents must have their new permits displayed by September 14, 2010. The Varsity View Residential Parking Permit allows residents who live in the Parking Zone to buy a permit to park longer than the posted time limits.

One and two hour time restriction signs are posted in the Permit Zone, and are effective from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Monday to Friday. Vehicles that do not have a Residential Parking Permit displayed, and are parked longer than the posted restriction, will be ticketed and towed.

New and Renewal Residential Parking Permits may be purchased starting August 25 (excluding statutory holidays) at the following locations:

· NEW AND RENEWAL PARKING PERMITS – City Hall Customer Service (222 Third Avenue North) – from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday. Cash and debit cards accepted.

· RENEWALS ONLY until August 31 – Saskatoon Field House (2020 College Drive) – from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, and from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Saturday and Sunday. Cash, debit card, Visa, and MasterCard will be accepted at the Field House.

Residents eligible to purchase a Residential Parking Permit are reminded that they must present a current driver’s licence, vehicle registration, and one of the following: utility bill, lease agreement, SaskEnergy bill, SaskTel bill or cable bill.

This program was initiated and supported by Varsity View residents concerned about high levels of transient parking in their neighbourhood.
