TORONTO – A 25-year-old man is fighting for his life in hospital after he was stabbed in Mississauga on Saturday night.

Peel Regional Police were called to a strip plaza at 1125 Bloor Street, near Tomken Rd. at around 11 p.m.

When they arrived they found the victim suffering from stab wounds and rushed him to a nearby hospital. He was then transferred to Sunnybrook Hospital where he remains in critical condition.

Two people were arrested near the scene a short time later.

Police have released one of them but have charged the other, an 18-year-old man with aggravated assault. He was scheduled to make a court appearance on Sunday morning and police say the charges could be upgraded based on the outcome of their investigation.
