Rock to shock the Oil City

Gurus of ghoulishness Alice Cooper and Rob Zombie will be teaming up to rock Edmonton with one creepy concert this April.

The duo will be shock rocking Rexall Place April 28, at $45 to $59.50 a ticket.

The Gruesome Twosome Tour featuring Zombie and Cooper will be making its way across North America, after 15 years of talking about it according to Cooper.

Both artists are excited about the tour that Cooper referred to as a Dracula vs. Frankenstein operation. Zombie was quoted as saying that the dream and the nightmare have finally come true.

Zombie, former front man of metal band White Zombie, will be promoting his latest album Hellbilly Deluxe 2. The record made its debut in the eighth spot this month on the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart.

Zombie has also made a name for himself as a horror-film director with films such as House of 1000 Corpses, The Devil’s Rejects and a 2007 re-make of Halloween.

Cooper, often referred to as the granddaddy of shock rock, has been entertaining audiences for over 40 years. His most recent album, Along Came A Spider was released in 2008 Cooper will be performing the Theatre of Death Tour show from that album.

The singer is also know for his radio show Late Nights With Alice Cooper, broadcast across North America.

Both singers have been nominated for several Grammy Awards.

Tickets for The Gruesome Twosome show go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. and are available at all ticketmaster outlets.
