The mother of a 3-year-old girl who sparked an Amber Alert has now been charged with parental abduction.
Choking back tears, the 33-year-old made an appearance in a Toronto court on Thursday. Her identity and that of her little girl is now protected because the child is in the care of the Catholic Children’s Aid Society.
The pair were found at a Mississauga hotel on Wednesday afternoon following an intense ground search near their South Etobicoke home.
The accused will be back in court on Friday.
