OTTAWA – Reporters were focused on the red chamber again this week as the Senate’s Board of Internal Economy took a second look at Senator Mike Duffy’s expenses.

Duffy didn’t show up to the meeting even after suggesting he might to reporters. Senator Pamela Wallin, who is still waiting for Deloitte’s audit into her expenses, was also in the chamber, but wouldn’t stop for questions.

Breaking news from Canada and around the world sent to your email, as it happens.

Duffy and Wallin kept a low profile most of the week, so reporters turned their attention to other senators like Marjory LeBreton and David Tkachuk.

After a week of ceaseless questions from reporters, some Senators were almost certainly ready for a weekend break.
