Police appeal for tips after man found dead in lagoon

CALGARY- Police are asking for the public’s help, after a man was found dead in Prince’s Island Park.

The man was discovered in the lagoon around 7 a.m. on Wednesday, by a passerby who phoned police.

While his death is not considered suspicious, investigators are trying to determine what happened in the hours before he died.

The man is described as Aboriginal, 5’7” tall, about 140 pounds with a slim build and shoulder-length black hair.

Anyone who thinks they saw the man, or anything out of the ordinary in Prince’s Island Park between 10:45 p.m. on Tuesday and 7 a.m. on Wednesday are asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
