EDMONTON – An 86-year-old man died Friday following a crash in the area of 135 Avenue and 127 Street.
His westbound vehicle collided with a northbound Jeep at approximately 2:20 Friday afternoon.
He was treated at the scene and then transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries, to which he succumbed.

The 21-year-old driver of the Jeep was also sent to hospital, but only had minor injuries.
All lanes of traffic in both directions were shut down for about six hours as a result of the collision.
Police are looking at whether speed was a factor in the crash, and are looking for help with their investigation.
