Mother and son murdered at Brampton home, father later found dead: Peel police

Peel Regional Police say a mother and son were murdered at a Brampton home a short time before the husband and father of the victims was found dead.

Emergency crews were first called to a residence on Josephine Court near the area of Williams Parkway and Jordan Boulevard at 5:44 a.m. Friday for reports that two people were stabbed.

Police said a person died at the scene while another person was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries where they were pronounced dead.

Officers later revealed the two victims are a 53-year-old woman and a 13-year-old boy, adding they are mother and son.

Authorities said the woman also had three other children.

Police said the man, 51, was found dead a few blocks away near Highway 410 and Williams Parkway just before 6 a.m.

Investigators said they believe the man died by suicide.

The Ontario Provincial Police said they are looking to speak with any drivers of dump truck-style vehicles that were on Hwy. 410 near Williams Parkway between 5:40 a.m. and 6 a.m. Friday.

Investigators said they are not looking for any suspects and there is no threat to public safety.

Police said they are not naming the victims out of respect for the family.
