Tactical units in Hagersville for investigation that began in Six Nations: OPP

A number of roads in Hagersville were closed off to traffic for hours as a result of an ongoing investigation that started in Six Nations, say police.

Haldimand County OPP dispatched their tactical and rescue units along with emergency response teams around 5:00 a.m. on Friday to an address an incident on Howard Street.

OPP didn’t indicate why they were there but did say a male was taken into custody ‘without incident’ around 3:00 p.m.

“So far I can tell you it has been determined that there was an incident that took place at Six Nations of the Grand River First Nation, and as a result, the officer located a male at a Howard Street address here in Hagersville,” said Const. Ed Sanchuk in a Periscope post on Twitter.
