One dead after rear-end car crash in Stoney Creek: police

Hamilton police say a person is dead after a rear-end collision in Stoney Creek near the QEW early Tuesday morning.

Collision reconstruction teams believe a dark coloured 2016 Nissan sedan was travelling eastbound on the South Service Road towards Green Road when it struck a grey Fiat vehicle from behind.

Police responded to the scene along with Hamilton Fire and EMS where a 60-year-old Hamilton man was believed to have been “ejected from the Fiat vehicle causing fatal injuries”, say police in a statement.

A 32-year-old, also from Hamilton, driving the Nissan sustained minor injuries.
