PENTICTON, BC – Penticton has a new top cop.
Inspector Kevin Hewco takes over from Inspector Brad Haugli who has relocated to the Lower Mainland.
Hewco was based in North Cowichan and has been with the RCMP for more than 26 years.

He has led the Port Alice, Oceanside and North Cowichan detachments where he acted as commander.
Hewco has also done stints in Kelowna and Whistler.
“I am excited to return to the valley, and particularly Penticton and the South Okanagan. The region is beautiful and the communities are warm and welcoming. I can’t wait to begin the new role,” says Hewco.
Hewco takes command of the Penticton detachment later this summer.
