Missing Edmonton woman found safe and unharmed: police

Edmonton police said Thursday evening that a 20-year-old woman, whose disappearance had been treated by them as “suspicious,” was found safe and unharmed.

Shalene Lucille Pelletier was last seen on July 6 in the area of 111 Avenue and Groat Road, police said in a media release Thursday morning.

She was last heard from on Sunday and was reported missing on Tuesday, police said.

Police said Pelletier’s disappearance was out of character and that her family and police were concerned for her well-being.
