Chilliwack RCMP respond to threat at Chilliwack Secondary

Chilliwack Secondary students and staff were dismissed early on Wednesday following a threat found at the school.

Chilliwack RCMP said at about 9:30 a.m. school staff found a “veiled and non-specific written threat.” A school safety plan was put in place and students and staff were dismissed early as a precaution.

The Chilliwack RCMP School Liaison Section, as part of the Community Threat Assessment Team, is continuing the investigation. ” Regardless of the nature of the threat the safety of the students and staff are paramount and our first priority” said Cpl. Len vanNieuwenhuizen.

Additional details could be released following an investigation by the Chilliwack RCMP.
