Police believe, through a witness statement, the car veered out of its lane and hit the ‘commercial motor vehicle.’

The driver of the car, identified as 34-year-old Kendall Waite of Kitchener, died on scene.

The truck driver suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported to hospital.

His vehicle left the roadway and hit a utility pole and trees.
