Man arrested and faces 9 charges in a firearm investigation

TORONTO – Police have arrested a man seen walking around with a loaded gun in the Bloor Annex area of Toronto last week.

The accused was allegedly observed in possession of a firearm on the TTC Subway system between May 2nd and May 3rd 2013.

Joshua Pontes, 23, of Toronto has been charged with six counts of weapons dangerous, personating a peace officer, threatening death and use imitation firearm to commit an indictable offence.

He is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday.
