Halton police investigating alleged sexual assault of teen girl on Oakville trail

OAKVILLE, Ont. – Police are investigating after a teenage girl was allegedly sexually assaulted while walking on a trail near a school in Oakville, Ont.

Halton regional police say the alleged incident happened around noon Tuesday, as the teen was walking along a trail north of McCraney Street.

They say she was approached by a man in his 60s or 70s, who began talking to her and repeatedly saying the word “money.”

Police allege the man then grabbed the girl by the hand, pulled her towards him and touched her inappropriately.

Halton police are urging anyone with information about the alleged attack to contact the force’s child abuse and sexual assault unit.
