Both victims believe they had been drugged without their knowledge or consent.

Police are using the incidents to remind the public of protective steps to take while at a bar, lounge or party:

  • don’t accept drinks from unknown or unfamiliar people
  • don’t drink opened drinks
  • don’t share or exchange drinks
  • accompany someone if they offer to buy a drink and watch it being poured and served
  • don’t leave drinks unattended while talking, dancing or using the washroom
  • discard the drink if it has been left unattended
  • don’t drink anything with an unusual taste or appearance.

The investigation into the two incidents continues and police say suspicious activity should be reported immediately.
