EDMONTON- Two men are dead following a collision west of our city Saturday evening.
The collision happened at the intersection of Highway 16 and Highway 753, just west of the Hamlet of Wildwood, around 4:50 p.m. Saturday.
Evansburg RCMP say a blue pickup truck heading south on Highway 753 drove into the east bound lanes of Highway 16 and under the trailer of a semi truck.
There were two men in the truck at the time. RCMP say one of the men was pronounced dead at the scene. The other man was taken to hospital where he died a short time later.
The driver of the semi was not injured in the collision.
RCMP say no charges have been laid at this time, and the collision is still under investigation.
The victim’s names have not been released.
