Fire crews battle massive grassfire on Tsuu T’ina First Nation

Calgary firefighters continue to put out hot spots after battling a massive grassfire on Tsuu T’ina First Nation Saturday afternoon.

Fire crews first responded to the fire at about 2pm.

A spokesperson for the Calgary Fire Department says a building was initially threatened by the blaze before firefighters were able to bring it under control and contain it.

Helicopters from Alberta’s environment ministry were also called in to assist with efforts on the ground.

No injuries have been reported and it isn‘t clear what sparked the blaze.
