A major fire in downtown Montreal Thursday morning caused heavy damage. Flames broke out shortly before 7 a.m. The fire caused a three-storey condo building under construction to collapse. The heat from the fire was so intense, it cracked windows in buildings across the street. About 30 residents from neighbouring buildings were forced from their homes. No injuries were reported.
