Raw unverified video of cargo plane crash at Bagram airfield in Afghanistan

WARNING: This video may be disturbing to some viewers. Viewer discretion is advised.

An unverified amateur video appears to show the deadly crash of a civilian cargo plane, operated by National Air Cargo, at Bagram Air Field in Afghanistan.

The Boeing 747-400 crashed shortly after takeoff on Monday, erupting into flames near the end of the runway.

All seven crew aboard the plane were killed. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) confirmed Tuesday all seven crew members were American citizens.

The Taliban claimed responsibility for bringing down the cargo plane, but NATO said in a statement those claims were false.

The coalition said the cause of the crash was being investigated by emergency crews, and according to coalition spokesman Capt. Luca Carniel there was no sign of insurgent activity in the area at the time.

On Tuesday, the NTSB announced it was sending a team of investigators to assist local authorities in the investigation.

The plane – owned by National Airlines, a subsidiary of National Air Cargo – was carrying vehicles and other cargo destined for Dubai.
