CALGARY – A toddler seriously injured after being struck by a car last week has died of her injuries.
Two-year-old Mihnaz Binish was thrown from her stroller when it was hit by a car at Shawville Gate S.W. and Shawville Boulevard S.E. , around 11 a.m. on Thursday.
Police say the 70-year-old driver lost control of his car, hit several objects on the side of the road, drove through the intersection then hit the woman pushing a stroller. The car came to rest near an electrical box.

Both the girl and her mother were rushed to hospital in critical condition. Binish passed away on Friday.
The driver of the vehicle involved also suffered serious injuries, and is still being treated in hospital. Police have not been able to speak with him yet.
