TORONTO – A 27-year-old man is dead after being hit by a GO train in Mississauga overnight.
Emergency crews were called to the area of Lakeshore Road East and Dixie Road at about 1:30 a.m. and initially had trouble locating the victim.

He was found under the train and Peel EMS says the man was pronounced dead on scene.
Police tell Global News the death appears to have been an accident.
Train service was held while officers from GO Transit and Peel’s Major Collision Bureau investigated.
