“It appears there was some kind of altercation,” said Cst. George Tudos with DRPS. “The fight was originally verbal in nature and escalated into a physical altercation.”

Police say both people in the home were stabbed, one of them several times.

“We did locate two parties, both suffering with stab wounds. One person was stabbed several times and was also hit over the head with a hammer.”

One of those victims was taken to hospital in life-threatening condition, they are now stable.

Officers responded to the incident after reports of a home invasion. Police now know it wasn’t an isolated attack.

“I’m not sure what the motive is, however, we can confirm it was not a random incident,” says Tudos.
