Calgary man killed in 3-vehicle crash on Highway 2A

One person was killed in a three-vehicle crash south of Calgary on Wednesday evening.

The collision — between two pickup trucks and a sedan — happened on Highway 2A, about three kilometres north of Okotoks, Alta., at around 9 p.m.

In a Thursday news release, Okotoks RCMP said a 32-year-old Calgary man driving one of the pickup trucks was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the other pickup truck, a 32-year-old man, was taken to hospital in serious condition.

The 47-year-old man driving the sedan was uninjured.

Police closed a section of southbound Highway 2A for several hours while they worked to clear debris from the road.

No charges have been laid, and RCMP are continuing to investigate what caused the crash.
