Hamilton police say the city enjoyed a safe St. Patrick’s Day.
They stepped up police presence in the McMaster University student housing and Westdale area this weekend.
As a result, 17 tickets were issued for liquor offences, 11 licensed establishments were inspected, and one person was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle.
Hamilton police say they would like to thank residents for being respectful and contributing to community safety.
