Demolition begins at Canad Inns stadium

WINNIPEG – Crews with heavy machinery have begun tearing apart Canad Inns stadium.

Back hoes could be seen tearing apart the stands at the huge concrete facility, which was first built in 1953 and had several additions and upgrades since then.

Once the stadium is gone, the space will be occupied by new retail developments, including a 144,000 square foot Target store.
