The Department of Labour is investigating after a man was seriously injured at the Nova Scotia Firefighters School in Waverley, N.S., on Saturday.
The young firefighter, who has not been identified, was injured during a training session.
Staff members gave him immediate medical attention before he was rushed to hospital.

The fire school is investigating and Nova Scotia’s Department of Labour is doing an inspection of the school.

The department says they have not issued a stop-work order at this time.
There is no word on the status of the injured firefighter.
