SPALLUMCHEEN, BC – All the animals were saved, but a barn in the North Okanagan was leveled following a late night fire.
Flames consumed the structure on Salmon River Road in Spallumcheen near Armstrong at about 10:30 p.m. Thursday, but the cause has yet to be determined.

A number of pigs, large and small, were saved from perishing in the fire.
The barn was fully engulfed when fire crews arrived, making it difficult to save the structure.
