Winnipeg police are looking for the public’s help in finding a suspicious person after two young girls escaped a scary situation.

The girls – a nine-year-old and her seven-year-old sister – were walking in the 2200 block of Burrows Avenue around 9 a.m. Monday when they were approached by a man who stopped his car, got out, and motioned to grab the older girl, said police.

Both girls ran to a safe location nearby and no one was injured in the incident.

The man was last seen driving toward Keewatin Street.
