Wanted man spits on officer: Saskatoon police

Saskatoon police said a wanted man spit on one of their officers after being arrested Thursday.

A report of a man causing a disturbance at a home in the 300-block of Avenue R South came in during the morning of Jan. 31. He was reported to be under the influence of intoxicants.

Police said they arrested the man, and he spat on an officer while he being escorted from the home to a patrol car.

He is facing charges of assaulting a police officer, and breach of recognizance.

The 25-year-old man also had 10 outstanding Criminal Code warrants.

He is expected to appear in Saskatoon provincial court Thursday afternoon.
