Police are investigating after a number of homes were reportedly broken into in Barrie.
According to Barrie police, since early January, officers have received a number of reports of break-ins in the northwest part of the city.
Officers say all of the break-ins have taken place while the homeowners were away during the day.
Police say an investigation has revealed the occurrences are likely related.

According to police, the homes were found to be ransacked with jewelry and other valuables as the target.

Officers say surveillance footage has linked a small, white, 4-door Nissan Versa Note hatchback, with dark rims to a number of the incidents.
