Two children missing since Monday have been found safe in Airdrie, Alta., RCMP said Tuesday.
Police thanked the public for their help in the search in a Tuesday morning news release.
On Monday, RCMP in central Alberta was asking the public’s help in trying to locate two children.
Police said a 12-year-old boy travelled to Innisfail, Alta., early on Monday morning where he met up with a 12-year-old girl and left the area in a family car.
RCMP believed at the time the two children were trying to make their way to Radium, B.C.
The dark blue Chevrolet Cavalier they were travelling in was spotted in Airdrie at about 9 p.m. on Monday night.
“Public tips were received which led the RCMP to locate the children this morning,” police said.
