The Regina Early Years Family Centre – a free, city wide drop-in centre that welcomes families with children up to six year-old – has officially opened up two locations.

“The Early Years Family Centres will be a great resource to Regina children and their families.  They are places to gather, play, learn and grow for both children and their caregivers,” said Lynda Gellner, the Regina Early Years Family Centre Developer.

The Centre offers a safe place for families to come together and will help promote child development. The centres will also offer access to parenting information and other supports.

“Early Years Family Centres are important because they support children and their families during the first six years of life which we know is a critical time for a child’s development.  The first six years develop the foundation of knowledge, skills and language that are the building blocks for future growth and development,” added Gellner.
