SASKATOON – The mayor is off to China to lure potential investors to the Bridge City.

Mayor Don Atchison and his wife left Thursday morning on a 6 day trip that will take them to Hong Kong, Shenzhen and Beijing.

They’ll meet with pre-qualified Chinese companies and government organizations at investment opportunities seminars.

“We are the fastest growing city in Canada, one of the most business friendly cities in Canada and we want to encourage economic development,” said Atchison.

The mayor’s travel expenses are being covered by the Saskatoon Regional Economic Development Authority, while his wife is paying her own way.
