CALGARY- Spring is taking its sweet time to arrive in Calgary.
Despite hitting a high of 21 degrees just a couple of weeks ago, a snowstorm rolled into town on Thursday morning, and continued throughout the day. Streets around the city were blanketed with heavy flakes, making for a slippery commute.
“We forecast snow, but this was a little more than we expected,” says Global weather specialist Paul Dunphy. “[But] we normally get our biggest snowfalls at this time of year.”
Thursday’s high was 4 degrees. No flurries are expected on Friday, but there is a 60 per cent chance of snow again on Saturday.
