Another delay in Randall Hopley’s case

Randall Hopley is shown in a photo released by Vancouver Police on Friday Sept. 9, 2011. Cabin owners in southeastern British Columbia should check their properties and local businesses should watch their surveillance tapes for any sign of three-year-old Kienan Hebert, or Hopley, the suspect in his disappearance, RCMP said Friday as the search for the boy entered its third day. Last fall, Hopley abducted 3 -year-old Kienan Hebert from his home in Sparwood.

Hebert was returned to his home four days later.

Hopley says he didn’t hurt the boy, but prosecutors are concerned about Hopley’s criminal record, which includes a previous sex assault on a 5-year-old boy.

The case has been put over until June.
