TORONTO — Canadian pop star Avril Lavigne released her new single Tuesday — the first track from her forthcoming fifth studio album.
The song “Here’s To Never Growing Up” calls to mind Ke$ha’s “Die Young,” Rita Ora’s “How We Do (Party)” and Miley Cyrus’ “Party in the U.S.A.”
Lavigne, 28, hasn’t released new music since 2011’s Goodbye Lullaby.
On Friday, Lavigne posted photos from the set of the prom-themed video shoot for “Here’s to Growing Up.”
