EDMONTON- Global Edmonton has been recognized by the Radio and Television Digital News Association (RTDNA) as the best newscast in the Prairie Region.
The Bert Cannings Award was presented to Global Edmonton for its coverage of the tragic HUB mall shootings last June.

Global Edmonton also received the Adrienne Clarkson Award for diversity, for its series of reports on a central Alberta mother who has severe multiple sclerosis and was fighting to keep her children, after it was determined she could no longer care for them by herself.
The annual RTDNA awards were handed out in Winnipeg Saturday evening.
