From a dancing seal to Wolverine

Here’s something you don’t see every day, a seal with rhythm.  This is 4-year-old sea lion, named Ronan, she was rescued in 2009 and lives at the University of California, Santa Cruz’s Long Marine Laboratory.  There, she is dancing to the beat.  A feat, until this point, was believed to only be possible with animals such as birds. Ronan was originally trained using a metronome. Once that was conquered, she could even find the beat in more complicated and slightly more hip beats.

Avid boaters may have to spend some money to get their on this high tech safety device. This is the Rocket-Propelled Ikaros Line Thrower. It’s a waterproof canister that houses a safety line of almost a thousand feet. The purpose of the device to rescue people floating in the water and the rope can hold up to 450lbs, but just make sure you aim is right.

Have you ever been eating cookies and milk and the glass is too narrow to adequately dunk your treats? Well a new inventor has designed, what he thinks is the perfect glass featuring “High Milk Displacement Dunk Chamber Technology.” The 8-ounce glass features a wide mouth for easy dunking at low milk levels and a cookie shaped narrower section to help submerge your snack. The invention opened on the KICKSTARTER crowd funding site last week and has raised nearly $6000 towards the $25,000 goal.

Well he’s back. He’s the best there is at what he does…the problem is, what he does isn’t very nice. The international trailer for the Marvel Comic’s movie “The Wolverine” came out this week. The trailer has almost hit 15 million views on YouTube. The movie will talk about wolverine’s adventures in modern day Japan.
