North Edmonton intersection reopens after serious collision

A serious collision closed an intersection in north Edmonton for several hours Monday morning.

Police were called to a report of a crash near 95 Street and 113 Avenue at about 4:20 a.m.

Investigators believe a white Ford F-150 was heading south when it collided with several parked cars on the street.

The 62-year-old man driving the car appears to have then lost control, police said, and the truck came to rest in the intersection of 95 Street and 113 Avenue.

The driver was pulled from the truck with help from firefighters. He was treated and taken to hospital by EMS, where he remains in serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

No one else was injured, police said.

The crash closed traffic in all directions at the intersection as police responded to the incident.

The road was open again by 11 a.m.
