Township of Asphodel-Norwood election results 2018

The Township of Asphodel-Norwood will have a new mayor with Terry Low deciding to not seek re-election.

That leaves the position open for two current councillors. Deputy Mayor Rodger Bonneau and Coun. Debbie Lynch are campaigning for the mayor’s seat. Both were first elected to council in 2014.

The Township:

Located about 40 kilometres east of Peterborough, the Township of Asphodel-Norwood consists of a number of small communities, the largest being Norwood. It’s a predominately rural region with agriculture as the leading source of employment. Highway 7 runs through the heart of Norwood which is the only Peterborough County township to still maintain a high school.
