A West Kelowna man was taken to hospital as a precaution after ditching his vehicle into Okanagan Lake.
The incident happened mid-Monday afternoon on Highway 97 near Peachland.

Witnesses tell police that the northbound vehicle was slowly driving onto the shoulder but failed to stop and drove into the lake.
Bystanders jumped into the water to rescue to the man. Fortunately, the car landed in shallow water.
The driver is from West Kelowna.
His name has not been released.
