Edmonton police arrest ‘high risk’ offender

A 21-year-old man is in custody more than two weeks after police sought his arrest for allegedly breaching his court order.

Police said Jared Owen Soosay was arrested in Edmonton on Sept. 6. He was wanted for three counts of breach of recognizance.

On Aug. 23, Edmonton police asked for the public’s help in locating Soosay who police warned posed a “high risk to offend violently” and “has been known to carry weapons.”

Police said Soosay remains in custody since his arrest.
