Residents of Lac-Saint-Louis Road reported hearing a loud noise.

When emergency crews arrived at the scene, they found an abandoned car that appeared to have gone straight through one home before crashing into the neighbouring house.

Police said the vehicle had been stolen earlier in the evening, not far from where the crash happened.

No one inside either of the homes was injured.

Pronovost will be detained until his bail hearing, which is scheduled for Thursday in Valleyfield.
