Tears flowed inside a Langley church for a seven-year-old girl who was found murdered in a Langley condo last month.
Aaliyah Rosa was remembered at a funeral at Christian Life Assembly on Tuesday.
Pastor Bill Ashby started off the service, saying Rosa’s murder is a puzzling, evil act.

Rosa’s father sat sobbing in the front row along with other family members and friends as several police officers kept watch from the back of the church.
Several people who didn’t even know Rosa attended the service, including one woman who told Global News that she “wanted to show up today to give my support and remember the sweet little angel.”

Rosa’s body was found at a condo near 200 Street and 68 Avenue on July 22.
No one has been charged in connection with her death.
Rosa’s former pre-school teacher Trish Wright and several other childcare givers have started a crowdfunding campaign to support Aaliyah’s family.
While no arrests have been made, the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) said police “have a firm understanding of what happened and we don’t believe that the public is in any danger.”
Police have also said that a 36-year-old woman who “was involved in the investigation” is under medical care.
Cpl. Frank Jang of IHIT said Tuesday that investigators are gathering information on Rosa’s death and are asking anyone to come forward with any information.
